In this episode, Gill Hodgson and Carole Patilla share their experience of launching the Farewell Flowers Directory as part of their mission to change the world of funeral flowers, one arrangement at a time. One of their main aims is to help move the floristry industry away from its overreliance on plastic, encouraging the use of alternatives to floral foam (Oasis) and 'cellophane'. Their insights highlight how awareness and education around plastic use can drive meaningful change, and they provide many practical tips that consumers, florists and funeral directors can easily follow.

Brought to you by the Natural Burial Alliance (NBA), the Dying to Go Green Podcast explores various elements of natural burial and green funeral practices, guiding and inspiring those who may like to consider this option for themselves or their loved ones.

As an alliance of natural burial and green funeral professionals, NBA members are united in the common purpose of promoting greener funeral practices across the UK. Our membership scheme focuses on education, continuing professional development, raising awareness of natural burial and encouraging greener funeral practices across the board. We also list UK natural burial grounds and green funeral suppliers on the Dying to Go Green directory to help with your eco funeral planning.
